Team CAVRA
Our membership is open to anyone over the age of 18 years old.
No matter what your skills, age, race or ability there is always a position within CAVRA for you, either as a volunteer who is new to community resilience, joining as our entry level Community Emergency Volunteer, or for already qualified professionals wishing to transfer to CAVRA onto our National Emergency Resilience Unit.

If you are interested in joining CAVRA as a Community Emergency Volunteer, please complete the form below and return to us at administration@cavra.org.uk
When we have received your completed form, our membership team will be in contact with you to review it.
Once the review has been completed you will be offered a space on our next induction session.
Professional Transferree
If you are interested in transferring to CAVRA with your specialist training as part of the National Emergency Resilience Support Unit, please email administration@cavra.org.uk, with the subject 'Join CAVRA NERSU'. These positions are only available for transferring volunteers who are qualified to national standards in the following areas:

Search and Rescue (Land Search Technician / etc.)

Water Rescue (DEFRA Modules)
When we have reviewed your email, our membership team will be in contact with you to formally apply.
Once the application form has been completed, you will be offered a space on our next induction session.
General Application Information
At any point during this process you are welcome to email us any questions you may have about the team or the recruitment process.
All volunteers are required to obtain a Basic DBS Check prior to completing their induction.
To assist with our costs for equipping each volunteer, we have an annual membership fee of £50.00. This includes the following:

CAVRA Hi-vis Vest*

CAVRA ID Card*
*(Once you have completed your induction training and only for the first year of membership)
The membership fee is requested once the application review has taken place.
